VA Aid & Attendance — FundingDependency.com

What it is

VA Aid & Attendance is a pension benefit add-on — not a stand-alone benefit — available to wartime-era veterans and their surviving spouses who need help with activities of daily living, whether at home, in assisted living, or in a nursing home. It is layered on top of the VA's basic pension program and is one of the most chronically under-claimed benefits in the country, largely because so few veterans and families know it exists. See the official VA.gov Aid & Attendance and Housebound benefits page for current eligibility rules and application steps.
